Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Associate Scientist 2/ Principal Associate Scientist to join our growing Antibody Discovery & Optimization (ADO) team. The successful candidate will participate in the construction, validation, and screening of surface-displayed antibody libraries. The ideal candidate will have in-depth, hands-on expertise in all steps of display technology (yeast, phage, or mammalian), including DNA library construction, FACS, ELISA, and NGS.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and execute antibody discovery and affinity maturation campaigns using yeast and phage display
Construct libraries using standard molecular biology techniques
Conduct high-throughput screening (HTS) of antibody display campaign outputs using ELISA and flow cytometry
Prepare and analyze NGS samples
Analyze and interpret experimental data, and clearly communicate findings in presentations
Work on multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of potential therapeutic leads with appropriate guidance
Document data in an electronic lab notebook in an organized manner
Innovate and establish new strategies to optimize existing protocols
Qualifications:
BS in Biological/Chemical Engineering, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology or related discipline with 6-8 + years of industry experience
Direct experience with phage or yeast display systems required
Direct experience in protein engineering
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques, including RT-PCR, PCR, overlap extension PCR, cloning, primer design, mutagenesis methods, and in-silico DNA construct design
Experience with flow cytometry
Experience in cloning, expression, and purification of proteins/antibodies in bacterial, yeast, and mammalian cells
Experience with NGS-based workflows, NGS sequencing, and data analysis is a plus
Willingness to learn and adopt new techniques
Location: This is a full-time position in Boulder, CO with in-person work in our labs.
Compensation Range: $80,000- $100,000
